In early 2023 I researched the history of traditional letterpress printing, and the place this process has in the printing industry today.
Significant markers in the development of printing technology throughout history were often found in the ability to combine text and image in a single print run. Each development saved the printer time and money, making printing more efficient and economical with every development.
In the Twenty-first century we have a wide variety of quick, cost-effective printing processes available to us. So why bother printing by hand? Through my research, I explored what can happen when traditional printing processes are combined with current technological advancements.
